What To Expect On Your Maternity Photoshoot

Hey mama’s! I know you can’t wait to deliver that baby and start the exciting journey of motherhood! We love to be a part of that special time. If you haven’t booked your Maternity Photoshoot yet, I encourage you to do it now. And while you wait for that big day to approach , here are some tips on what to expect on the day of your maternity photo shoot, what to wear, posing and positioning that beautiful belly.

  1. Try booking your session in the beginning of your third trimester. If you wait too late into your pregnancy there could be the chance of missing the appointment due to early labor or complications.

  2. Bring snacks because the session can be 2-3 hours and we want to keep you energized!

  3. Some positions can be a little uncomfortable, so if you get tired or dizzy, please speak up, we want you to rest whenever you need it.

  4. If you already have a gown or outfit in mind , great! If you need help deciding , reach out to your photographer, chances are they have some gowns you could wear. Some moms like nothing but some draped material over their belly and that is too beautiful.

  5. Get your hair and makeup done if possible. An extra expense but trust us it will be worth it. All natural is beautiful too! Stash a hair brush in your bag, so we can swipe away those little fly away hairs.

  6. You may not feel fantastic when you arrive on the day of your photo shoot, we know how exhausting pregnancy makes you. But that’s ok. Your photographer will go at your pace so you get the shot you are hoping for.

  7. Relax and have fun! Your beautiful and growing an amazing human being inside of you. Rock it girl!
