The San Diego Maternity Photo Shoot Adventure Begins.

Victoria first contacted me early on in her pregnancy. I would say when she was about 23 weeks. Which is always highly recommended. Because hey I’m one of San Diego's Top Maternity Photographers that are sought out for. So I book up usually 1 to 2 months in advance sometimes. 

She did not want a typical session or location. She absolutely did not want the beach. She knew she wanted the forest and preferably a river!

Well, let’s just say that's not the easiest thing to find in Southern California. 

So when momma was telling me all this. I wanted to make sure I knew all I needed to know. Before telling her location ideas and then getting her hopes up. So I went and did my research.  A few questions I thought of was, did we need a permit? Or how far the drive was going to be?  Also are they even open due to Covid? So I had already had a perfect spot in mind. The only thing is it's a drive. So I did a little digging before I reached back out to Victoria. 

I’m here to tell you she picked the location I had in mind. This location was perfect for this beautiful momma to be. She was going to have her San Diego Maternity Photo Shoot.

So we planned and planned some more! Lots of communication ahead of time.

Then the day came!

We texted each other at 5:30 am in the morning letting each other know we were headed out as we needed to drive about an hour and 20 mins away.

We were doing a morning session as it was summertime and we were a little nervous about how hot the afternoon would be. As I usually prefer to shoot My San Diego Maternity Photo Shoots at Golden hour which is one hour before sunset.

So we arrived and I did a little scouting then found the perfect spot. We brought the nifty pop-up tent that I bring to all My Maternity Photo Shoots In San Diego.

She changed into her beautiful gown she had brought with and we started her session.

We did get a little wet and we did have some laughs and some fun! Just look at the funny poses! :) LOL These two were a blast! 

We changed into another gown which was one of my client gowns from my client closet that I offer complimentary to my clients. We did some more shots. Once I knew I got the Shots I needed. I was like that's a wrap and we packed up and headed home. 

I would say that was one of my highlight sessions of the year. It was my first maternity session back from Covid and was in one of my favorite spots, that I usually go to just for camping!
